Breakfast Cook

Job Summary The Breakfast cook prepares, cooks, and assists in cleaning and serving the breakfast and lunch meal for patients, the Café, and for Meals-On-Wheels. Prepares catering and desserts as needed to maintain patient, employee and visitor satisfaction and consumer demands for upcoming days. Other duties as assigned; may be required to prepare meals for patients and Meals-On-Wheels on weekends and/or holidays. Monitors and regulates safe temperatures for prepared meals to prevent food waste and illness. Organizes and distributes meals to patients to create a welcoming and excellent patient care environment. Executes and maintains a clean workspace to prevent food waste, pest infestations, and practice infection control. Assists in organizing and arranging delivered goods to maintain an organized and efficient workspace. Works well under pressure and can multitask. Qualifications Food service experience preferred, but not required. Must be a team player and work well in a team setting. Implements effective communication skills. Abilities to perform using basic mathematic skills.
