Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to develop effective, personalized treatment programs in collaboration with referring physicians.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the diverse needs of patients spanning various specialties such as orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic care, using advanced treatments and techniques that align with the physician’s plan of care.
• Engage with patients and their caregivers through education and training to ensure understanding of treatment processes and expectations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Meet established utilization goals and business objectives, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the rehabilitation center.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied demographic of patients, each facing distinct challenges related to injury, disability, or recovery from surgery. Your role is not only to treat conditions but to foster empowerment through education, ensuring that patients understand their treatment paths and actively participate in their recovery journey. Building trust and rapport with each patient will be essential in achieving their functional goals.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia, adhering to the regulations set forth by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for patient interactions and collaborative teamwork.
• Proficiency in electronic health records and basic computer skills to facilitate documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required, candidates with advanced certifications or specialties in areas such as manual therapy, dry needling, or pediatric therapy may be given additional consideration. Experience with evidence-based treatment protocols and previous exposure to multidisciplinary teams can further enhance the contributions you make to our patients’ recovery experiences.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
