The course introduces the basics of polymer synthesis, covering traditional polymerization techniques (free‑radical, anionic chain, step‑growth) as well as newer methods. Students will learn about the preparation of advanced block, star, and brush copolymers, semi‑conducting and biodegradable polymers, and the fundamentals of structure and physical properties of polymers, along with methods of characterization.
