Senior Property Accountant
Downtown Cleveland, OH | On-site | Company-paid parking
Salary: $80,000–$95,000 + comprehensive benefits
Our client is hiring! Join a growing real estate investment and management firm with a diverse portfolio of commercial and multifamily properties across Northeast Ohio. We’re looking for a Senior Property Accountant to take ownership of financial operations across 20 properties (700 units total) and play a key leadership role on our team.
What You’ll Do
- Lead full-cycle property accounting and financial reporting
- Manage monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and CAM reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and handle vendor payments in Yardi
- Process tenant invoicing, collections, partner distributions, and basic partnership accounting
- Administer payroll and ensure financial compliance
- Own Yardi operations: close out and open accounting periods monthly
- Collaborate closely with leadership (including Chris) to drive financial accuracy and efficiency
- Coordinate with external tax partners (K-1s issued, no internal tax prep)
- Deliver clear financial reports and insights that support company decisions
✅ What They Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in accounting (real estate/property management preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Yardi and Excel
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, and ready to lead- this is a HANDS-ON role
