Advertising Manager
Position Objective:
To secure the placement of high impact, thought-provoking advertising via various mediums including outdoor, print news media, TV, radio, and other innovative forms of offline advertising to advance animal rights
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage offline advertising placement projects from initiation to completion
- Develop and implement strategies for generating powerful, timely ad placements to raise awareness about animal rights issues
- Establish and maintain relationships with sales representatives and negotiate reduced-rate or free placements
- Determine the impact of various advertising options and make recommendations based on these determinations
- Create and maintain detailed records of all projects
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
- Degree in a related field or two years' experience working in a professional environment
- An interest in advertising and public relations
- Proven excellent project-management, strategic-thinking, and analytical skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Capability to make connections and maintain relationships with a variety of people in a professional manner
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet and set deadlines, and stay organized
- Proven ability to take initiative and follow through
- Ability to make sound judgments and work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with a consistent pattern of proactively suggesting solutions
- Knowledge of animal rights issues and campaigns, and a desire to pursue a career in animal rights
- Adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle
- Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA's positions on issues in a professional manner
- Commitment to the objectives of the organization
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $80,168.40 annually. The ultimate salary within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate's experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
