About Us

CRS of Central Virginia is a locally owned Content Recovery Specialists franchise. We help homeowners and businesses across Central Virginia recover after fire, water, mold, and other property damage — packing out contents, storing them safely, and packing everything back once the property is restored. We work directly with insurance adjusters throughout the process so our customers can focus on getting their lives back to normal.

From irreplaceable heirlooms to photos of a loved one who is no longer here, we restore everything in a home or business and return those cherished memories and belongings to their owners. So what really makes a house a home? It’s all of the little things inside — each item holding a memory.

The Role

This is a newly created role and a genuine ground-floor opportunity: you’ll be our first Operations Manager as we grow beyond our founding two-person team. You’ll run day-to-day job operations — scheduling and leading crews on pack-out, in-house content cleaning, storage, and pack-back jobs — and take ownership of hiring as we build out our field team. You’ll work closely with the owner, with real input into how the company runs and grows.

What You'll Do

•        Schedule and directly oversee crews on pack-out, contents storage, and pack-back jobs from start to finish.

•        Own hiring, onboarding, and day-to-day management of field crew as the company grows.

•        Develop and/or improve current process flows.

•        Track each job's revenue, costs, and profit margin in our project-tracking system, and flag jobs falling outside target efficiency benchmarks.

•        Work directly with homeowners, businesses, and insurance adjusters to keep every job on schedule and deliver a five-star customer experience.

•        Manage TPA program as per carrier guidelines and maintain excellent evaluation scoring.

•        Coordinate with referral partners and track referral-based leads through to close.

•        Keep accurate, up-to-date job records — status, costs, and customer feedback — in our tracking system.

•        Step onto job sites as needed to keep pack-out and pack-back schedules on track.

What You Bring

•        2+ years supervising a crew of 3 or more in a field-services trade (restoration, moving, construction, warehousing, or similar).

•        Experience managing schedules, job costs, or a P&L across multiple concurrent jobs or projects.

•        Valid driver's license, and able to pass a background check and drug screening.

•        Able to lift 50+ lbs and do hands-on physical work on job sites when needed.

•        Comfortable with QuickBooks or similar job-costing/accounting software (preferred, not required).

•        Experience in content restoration, moving, or insurance-claims work (a plus, not required).

Compensation

$60,000 base salary, plus a performance bonus program on top — tied to two things you control: how profitably you run each job, and how happy your customers are. Every job that closes profitably earns you a share of that profit, and every verified five-star review earns an additional bonus, paid regardless of that job's margin, because customer satisfaction matters even on the tough jobs.
