Yard Specialist Kitting

At Clark Pacific, the Yard Specialist Kitting supports daily manufacturing operations by preparing, organizing, staging, and delivering materials and components needed for production. This position works closely with manufacturing, warehouse, procurement, and production teams to ensure the correct materials are available at the right place and time. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with team members, projects, and proprietary information.
• Follow established safety principles, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and job hazard analyses (JHAs) for materials, equipment, and work areas.
• Pick, organize, stage, and prepare materials and components according to production schedules, work orders, drawings, and instructions.
• Assemble material kits accurately and verify quantities, part numbers, and required components before delivery to production.
• Perform material handling duties including receiving, storage, staging, disbursement, and delivery of materials, products, and equipment.
• Maintain organized inventory and material storage areas to support efficient production flow.
• Identify missing, damaged, or incorrect materials and communicate discrepancies to the appropriate team members.
• Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment as trained and authorized.
• Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the manufacturing facility and yard.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure debris, recyclables, and hazardous materials are properly managed and stored.
• Support inventory counts and other material-control activities as needed.
• Support general manufacturing and yard operations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, material handling, construction, or a related field required.
• Previous experience with kitting, order picking, inventory, material staging, warehouse operations, or production support preferred.
• Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience preferred.
• Experience working in a union environment preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Willingness to participate in required training and skill development.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Work performed in manufacturing, warehouse, and outdoor environments with exposure to weather, noise, moving equipment, and machinery.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, lift, push, pull, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, with assistance for heavier loads.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, high-visibility vest, gloves, and eye and hearing protection.
