What You'll Bring to the Role:

• Proven experience as a PA or Nurse Practitioner in general surgery, trauma, or related specialties.
• Current and active California medical license.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• DEA certification.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to prioritize and manage inpatient care effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in trauma surgery or emergency settings.
• Familiarity with hospital credentialing and privileging processes.
• Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• For PAs: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with at least 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in surgery.
• For NPs: Master's degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited program with relevant inpatient surgical experience.
• Recent surgical or trauma care case logs demonstrating hands-on experience.

Other Requirements:

• Able to commit to a schedule of at least 12 shifts per month, with flexibility over the week.
• Availability for 6:30 am - 4:30 pm shifts.
• No call responsibilities.
• Willingness to adhere to all credentialing requirements, including updated CVs, hospital privileges, and case logs.
• Consistent adherence to travel reimbursement policies; providers are responsible for their own home-to-airport transportation, but airport parking, rental car insurance, and local travel expenses during the assignment are reimbursed.
