Senior Business Analyst (San Diego)

Senior Business Analyst – $52-59/hr.

6-month+ contract with possibility of extension

San Diego – Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)

The Sr. BA will support the assessment and automation of citywide Travel Expense Request process, which is currently managed manually.

The BA will work with stakeholders across departments, including Police, Fire-Rescue, and other participating departments, to understand existing processes, identify variations in departmental requirements, document business and functional requirements, and identify opportunities to standardize, streamline, and automate the process.

Responsibilities will include stakeholder engagement, business process analysis, requirements gathering and documentation, process mapping, identification of improvement opportunities, and coordination with stakeholders and technical teams to support solution planning.

The resource will also provide other business analysis services as requested by the City during the engagement.

Resource Requirements:

• Senior Business Analyst with experience in enterprise business process analysis and workflow automation initiatives.
• Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, process mapping, and requirements documentation skills.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders across multiple City departments.
• San Diego-based resource with availability for onsite meetings as needed.
• Anticipated duration: Six months.
