Step into a pivotal role supporting young learners in an Intensive Preschool Classroom. We're seeking a dedicated speech-language pathologist to join a welcoming school community near Denver, providing expert services to preschool-age children, including non-verbal students, for the 2024-2027 school years. This opportunity is on-site and contract-based, with a single school assignment and manageable caseload, making it ideal for professionals seeking meaningful impact with focus and stability.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Colorado SLP license required
- Open to SLP-CCC or clinical fellowship (CF) candidates
- Prior experience with PreK caseloads preferred
- Familiarity with augmentative/alternative communication or working with non-verbal students is a major plus
- Strong ability to collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to preschool-aged students in an intensive setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and maintain detailed and accurate documentation
- Work one-on-one and in group settings to support communication development
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to facilitate optimal learning outcomes for students
- Communicate progress and recommendations to families and relevant educational staff
- Maintain compliance with district policies and state/federal regulations
