FP&A Analyst

Job Overview The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst will lead the development, organization, and communication of the annual budget for the US Gulf region. The role oversees operating, capital and decommissioning project approvals, capital management, and forecasting, working closely with asset managers and commercial teams to translate technical field data into financial forecasts that support accounting and planning activities. Primary Responsibilities Prepare schedules, analysis and presentations in support of the annual budget. Monitor and forecast capital and decommissioning & abandonment (D&A) spending and prepare required reporting and presentations. Steward the project approval process, including setting up project approval forms (PAFs) and expense work orders in SAP, closely interfacing with the commercial team to ensure efficient routing and approval of the PAF workflows. Work closely with asset and department managers to support project cost reporting, project closeout activities, and supplement PAFs as needed. Provide detailed analysis and commentary on results, particularly regarding capital and D&A expenditures. Assist in writing and editing memos and applications to obtain project funding approval. Maintain audit trail of all approvals. Coordinate the divisional scorecard (KPI reporting) for the leadership team. Respond to inquiries and special requests from both divisional and corporate management. Coordinate and prepare executive level presentations and other ad hoc presentation materials. Prepare the semi-annual schedule of commitments for external financial reporting. Respond to and participate in ad hoc business and project requests. Education & Experience Bachelor of Finance, Accounting or Business; MBA is optimal. Minimum 5‑10 years of financial planning experience in the oil and gas industry. Detailed use/understanding of SAP required. Proven ability to create management and board‑level presentations in PowerPoint and distill business performance into meaningful materials. Experience drafting business communications and memos to support funding requests and project assurance milestones. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Outlook. Ability to structure and prioritize work to consistently meet deadlines and reporting requirements. Proactive, analytical, and strong problem‑solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Travel & Additional Requirements Work Location: 9805 Katy Freeway, Suite 675, Houston, TX 77024. Travel as needed.
