HR Specialist - Fast Paced

Join our client’s team as an HR Specialist focused on supporting our clients bustling manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in coordinating large-scale staffing efforts, working closely with their staffing team to ensure our client attracts and retains top talent for their high-demand production environment. This is your chance to shape a workforce while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. M-F 8:30 AM – 5 PM, Pay will be $35/hr. Responsibilities Process new hires in system and assignment changes. Conduct New Hire Orientation for all contingent workforce employees. Assign and escort new temps/contractors to the manufacturing/operation location on their first day and properly introduce them to their work groups. Manage and issue badges for new contingent employees. Manages the incoming attendance calls from the contractors and routes to the appropriate manager/supervisor. Communicate with staffing agencies to track employee attendance (no call/no show, tardiness, absences, etc.). Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to fill open requisitions, confirm working hours and update job descriptions. Serve as first point of contact for contingent employees regarding their work assignments (transfers, ER issues, etc.). Partner with HR and Management on escalating ER issues. Manage termination requests from managers and communicate to the appropriate staffing agency. Manage contingent employee tracking system and reporting data (hires, terminations, backfills, agency performance, etc.). Review and qualify new requisitions and release them to appropriate staffing partners. Coordinate/schedule interviews between hiring manager and staffing agencies. Ability to travel to job fairs as needed to San Jose and Fremont locations. Requirements Bachelors, minimum of 2 years post high-school education preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to maintain records and communication using email, spreadsheets, etc. Ability to learn and understand the processes / capabilities / limitations of the key operational departments and able to coordinate amongst these departments and staffing resources. Ability to coordinate and work with various departments and personnel to complete the tasks and to meet commitments.
