Emergency Department Registered Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift: 14:30 - 03:00
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care, with experience in pediatric nursing. This position offers a dynamic work environment serving a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department.
- Manage acute conditions including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, and respiratory failure.
- Utilize specialty equipment like Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal care.
- Float as required across various departments.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in Emergency Nursing, with pediatric experience preferred.
- Valid and active New York Registered Nurse license.
- Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC.
- Completion of a skills checklist matching the specialty.
- Driver's license with an address matching demographics.
- NURSYS report license verification must be provided.
