Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health status and emotional wellness. Create personalized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations of clients’ needs, issues, and desired goals. Offer individual therapy sessions targeting diverse mental health concerns across all ages. Facilitate couples counseling sessions to enhance communication, resolve relational conflicts, and promote healthier dynamics. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions during sessions and regularly review client progress. Maintain organized client records and documentation that adhere to legal and ethical standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic approaches in client care. Provide timely crisis intervention and support to clients facing acute mental health challenges. Stay informed of the latest research and practices in marriage and family therapy while participating in ongoing professional development. Advocate for clients’ rights while empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment processes. Patient Population / Client Focus As an LMFT with our clinic, you will work with a diverse population, which includes individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds. This role is particularly suited to those who are passionate about delivering therapy in a manner that is culturally sensitive and attuned to the varied experiences of clients facing unique challenges. The emphasis is on creating a safe space where clients can explore their feelings, navigate their relationships, and work towards meaningful change. Qualifications A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field. Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the relevant State Board is mandatory. Strong foundational experience in providing both individual and couples therapy. Demonstrated experience working effectively with both children and adults. Excellent skills in documenting client interactions, including assessments and progress notes. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency with electronic health records. Preferred Experience Experience in remote therapy practice, including familiarity with virtual platforms and telehealth standards. Previous community-based work that emphasizes social justice and access to mental health resources.
