Stewardship Compliance Manager As a Stewardship Compliance Manager, you provide specialized knowledge and technical support in quality assurance and control processes across the organization; You analyze quality and compliance data, develop best practices, and advise teams on adherence to industry standards, regulations, and internal policies; You collaborate with cross-functional partners to implement quality and stewardship improvement initiatives, conduct training, and ensure that products and processes consistently align with established quality and regulatory benchmarks; You are responsible for safeguarding Bayer’s License to Operate by meeting or exceeding regulatory compliance, stewardship, and trait quality requirements through the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of sustainable quality processes that drive functional excellence and enable business agility across all North America sites and crops, with counter-season oversight in South and Central America.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership and oversight to ensure compliance with applicable requirements for shipping, handling, release, and processing of confined material, including biotech traits and experimental pesticide treatments, within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System; Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert for Stewardship, Regulatory Compliance, and Trait Quality, acting as the NA Compliance Committee Functional Compliance Lead and representing NA Product Supply in cross-functional compliance initiatives; Support the design and implementation of initiatives, programs, and regulations related to Stewardship, Compliance, and Trait Quality in alignment with statutory and regulatory requirements; Ensure appropriate incident management by overseeing investigation, documentation, and implementation of effective mitigation measures to prevent recurrence and protect Bayer’s License to Operate; Develop training materials and implement training strategies and delivery plans that build stewardship and compliance capability across the organization; Engage in the development and implementation of sustainable IT systems to capture, track, and monitor compliance activities in partnership with IT and Regulatory functions; Drive Product Supply internal Field Inspection Program management, including planning, conduct, and reporting, to enable continuous improvement in field compliance and stewardship practices; Support the preparation, conduct, and follow-up of US Regulatory Authority inspections, including USDA, EPA, and FDA, ensuring readiness, robust responses, and timely closure of actions; Lead continuous improvement efforts to automate existing processes and implement new processes and tools that strengthen stewardship and compliance performance; Conduct stewardship risk assessments and Management of Change activities, including external partner reviews, stewardship plan development, and stewardship contract addendum review, to ensure consistent and compliant operations.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Agronomy, or a related field with 7 or more years of experience, preferably in field trial planning, regulatory compliance for chemistry, seeds and traits, trait quality, molecular laboratory work, or similar applicable experience; Up to 25% travel with position. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; Comprehensive understanding of US regulations for field compliance, stewardship best practices, and GxP requirements; Demonstrated ability to work as a team player, collaborating and partnering with stakeholders across a broad organization and within cross-functional teams, with strong leadership-by-influence capabilities; Proven change management and project management capabilities, with the ability to lead complex initiatives from design through implementation; Auditing experience, with the ability to assess compliance systems, identify gaps, and drive corrective and preventive actions. Posting available until August 20, 2026 Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $112,320.00 - $168,480.00 Compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
