Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team in Richmond, VA. This role is critical to the success of our complex construction projects, including industrial plants, healthcare facilities, and mission-critical data centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, cost estimation, and construction processes, with ability to produce accurate and competitive bids. Key Responsibilities: Estimate Development: Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Bid Coordination: Manage the bid process from initial review through final submission, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant. Scope Analysis: Review project drawings, specifications, and RFPs to determine scope and identify potential risks or value engineering opportunities. Vendor & Subcontractor Engagement: Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and comprehensive pricing. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine estimates and support pre-construction planning. Market Research: Stay current with market pricing, industry trends, and regional labor rates to ensure accurate forecasting. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organized records of estimates, assumptions, and pricing data for future reference and audit purposes. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in industrial, healthcare, or data center projects. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and NEC/NFPA codes. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, McCormick, Trimble, or similar). Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong communication and organizational abilities. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
