Job Summary

Fork is seeking an experienced, hospitality-driven Restaurant Manager to oversee daily service operations, lead the front-of-house team, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, service-focused environment. This individual should possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Working closely with the General Manager and Executive Chef, the Restaurant Manager will maintain Fork's service standards, develop team members, manage daily operations, and contribute to the restaurant's continued success.

Key Responsibilities Floor Supervision & Guest Experience

• Maintain an active and engaged floor presence throughout service, ensuring consistent execution of Fork's hospitality and service standards.
• Lead the front-of-house team in delivering attentive, knowledgeable, and personalized guest experiences.
• Monitor service pacing, dining room organization, and communication between the kitchen and service teams.
• Proactively address guest concerns and execute thoughtful service recovery.
• Develop relationships with regular guests and identify opportunities to encourage repeat visits.
• Hold team members accountable for service standards, professionalism, and assigned responsibilities.

Pre-Service Operations

• Oversee dining room setup, reservations, floor plans, menu preparation, and daily service readiness.
• Ensure accuracy of menus, daily specials, and Toast POS updates.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and Executive Chef to prepare and conduct informative daily pre-shift meetings.
• Communicate daily service priorities, reservations, VIP guests, menu changes, and operational updates.
• Address staffing adjustments and schedule changes to ensure appropriate service coverage.
• Ensure the restaurant is prepared for an organized and punctual opening.

Post-Service Operations

• Complete detailed daily shift reports documenting sales performance, guest feedback, staffing concerns, and operational observations.
• Manage employee cuts and labor deployment while maintaining service standards.
• Review employee time punches, tip sheets, and daily labor performance.
• Ensure completion of assigned side work and closing responsibilities.
• Oversee restaurant cleanliness, organization, and building security at the conclusion of service.

Operations & Team Development

• Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of front-of-house employees.
• Reinforce Fork's service standards through daily coaching, constructive feedback, and consistent accountability.
• Assist with employee scheduling, labor management, and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate training materials, service procedures, and food and beverage reference materials.
• Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities to improve service quality.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to achieve operational and financial objectives.
• Foster a professional, respectful, and supportive workplace culture that encourages teamwork and employee development.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience, preferably in an upscale or fine-dining environment.
• Strong understanding of professional dining room service and guest relations.
• Demonstrated leadership and team development abilities.
• Excellent verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions during high-volume service.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational consistency.
• Experience with restaurant POS and reservation management systems; familiarity with Toast and OpenTable is preferred.
• Understanding of restaurant labor management and financial performance.
• A genuine passion for hospitality, food, wine, and creating memorable guest experiences.
