We are seeking for a dynamic Assistant Buyer to join our team in our Orlando facility .
Salary starts at $19 per hour.
A Junior Buyer in Iberia Foods (a large distributor of Caribbean and Hispanic food products) supports the purchasing and procurement process to ensure products (food & beverages) are available, cost-effective, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Procurement & Purchasing
- Assist with purchase orders and ensure accuracy and compliance
- Source food and beverage products from approved suppliers
- Help compare prices, quality, and delivery timelines for cost-effective buying
Vendor & Supplier Management
- Communicate with vendors to confirm orders and delivery schedules
- Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
Inventory & Supply Chain Support
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock
- Track shipments and resolve delays
- Support demand planning and product availability
Market & Product Analysis
- Analyze food market trends and pricing
- Research new products, brands, or alternatives
- Stay updated on seasonal product availability
Administrative Tasks
- Maintain accurate purchasing records (pricing, vendors, orders)
- Assist senior buyers with procurement strategies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and food industry standards
