Job Description Job Description Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner - Children's Hospital Float Location: Spokane, WA Job Summary: The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides comprehensive respiratory therapy services and demonstrates a strong understanding of contemporary respiratory care principles. This role involves collaborating with physicians and nurses to develop and implement patient care plans, while supporting a wide range of respiratory treatments and procedures. The practitioner works with a high level of independence and clinical expertise to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to plan and implement patient care Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions Assist physicians in the delivery and direction of respiratory therapy services Operate and maintain ventilatory support systems, monitoring equipment, and resuscitation devices Perform patient assessments, diagnostic procedures, and oxygen therapy Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as appropriate Complete department and unit-specific orientation programs as required Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards Perform additional patient care functions within scope of training and competency Required Qualifications: Education sufficient to meet certification, licensure, or registration requirements Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire Preferred Skills: Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and procedures Experience with ventilators and respiratory support equipment Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
