Construction Lab/Field Project Manager-Nashville, TN

Job TitleSupervise and coordinate daily activities of laboratory and field technicians performing construction materials testing and inspection services.Manage testing operations involving soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, masonry, and other construction materials in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and project-specific requirements.Review, verify, and approve testing data, reports, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.Schedule personnel and allocate resources to support project demands and client deadlines.Monitor technician performance and provide coaching, training, and mentorship to promote technical development and career growth.Ensure laboratory and field operations comply with company quality management systems, accreditation requirements, and industry standards.Oversee calibration, maintenance, and inventory of laboratory and field-testing equipment.Assist project managers and engineers with project planning, staffing, budgeting, and technical problem-solving.Serve as a technical resource for clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.Identify non-conforming materials, testing discrepancies, and quality concerns, and recommend corrective actions.Promote and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.Support audits, accreditation reviews, and inspections conducted by clients, DOT agencies, and accreditation organizations.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.
