Position Direct Support Professional - Sign on Bonus! Paid Training! Schedule Saturday 9 a.m. - 11 p.m. Hours Part‑time: 14 hours Pay $17.50 - $19.00 per hour (paid training provided) Sign on Bonus $1,000 for full‑time and $500 for part‑time employees Job Responsibilities The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for advocating and supporting adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can. The DSP acts as a caregiver within the group home, providing household maintenance, meal preparation, grocery shopping, personal hygiene (bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing), transportation to medical appointments, participation in community activities, administration of medications, and adherence to Behavior Support Plans and Individual Support Plans. DSPs must also assist with banking, encourage community engagement, attend outings, follow medical guidelines, and safely evacuate individuals in emergencies. Training and Certification DSPs receive paid New Employee Orientation, CPR/First Aid, PABC, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP), along with program- and person-specific training at the individual’s home. DSPs are required to maintain certifications and comply with Agency policies, DDS regulations, and all company policies. Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.
