Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description Full‑time Registered Nurse position in the Bureau of Woodward Resource Center (WRC). The Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care, conduct assessments, administer medications, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure safety and quality of care for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans. Provide follow‑up care for illnesses and injuries, adhering to nursing protocols. Maintain infection control and safety standards using universal precautions. Administer medications, enteral feedings, and nebulizer treatments with accurate documentation. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement holistic care plans. Key Competencies Proficient nursing theory and practice with current medication knowledge. Specialized client care techniques for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Ability to teach and supervise assistive staff. Compassionate, empathetic support for clients. Adaptability to changing situations and organizational requirements. High ethical standards and integrity. Initiative and commitment to complete assignments efficiently. Qualifications Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa or via the Nurse Licensure Compact Administrator's Agreement. Valid background check required.
