Job Description:

Perform the professional functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. Coordinate, manage, provide and delegate patient care. Responsible for meeting the established Standards of Nursing Practice, and promoting cooperation among the health care team. This position is represented by CNA.

Unit Description This department provides triage, treatment and support for trauma and emergency patients of all ages in an acute care setting. If the department is designated as a trauma site, the hours and expenses related to triage and treatment of trauma patients is included. However, the hours and expenses related to the administration and support of the Trauma program and its services (i.e. Trauma registry, trauma coordinators) should not be included here. NCI Required. Moderate Sedation Training required.
