Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy at a 70-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. This contract role offers a chance to oversee pharmacy operations and serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for the site, ensuring compliance and optimal pharmaceutical care.

- Chula Vista, CA (San Diego area)
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, day shifts
Contract Details:
- Immediate start
- Duration of 13 weeks with potential for temp-to-hire
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direct oversight of all pharmacy operations
- Serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) ensuring regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care initiatives
- Manage pharmacy staff and workflow to optimize efficiency
- Utilize RX Connect system for pharmacy management and documentation
Qualifications:
- Active California Pharmacist license required
- Proven experience working as a Director of Pharmacy in California
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor staff
- Familiarity with LTAC hospital pharmacy operations preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy IT systems, specifically RX Connect, is a plus
