Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Henderson Scott US Senior Recruitment Consultant at Henderson Scott US About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Billing Specialist to join our legal operations team. This role is responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accuracy in client invoicing, and maintaining compliance with client billing guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and process client invoices in accordance with firm and client billing guidelines. Collaborate with attorneys and legal assistants to ensure accurate time entry and billing narratives. Submit invoices through various e-billing platforms and follow up on approvals or rejections. Resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner. Maintain billing records and generate reports for internal and client use. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to billing. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in legal billing or a similar finance role, preferably in a law firm or legal department. Familiarity with legal billing software (e.g., Elite, Aderant, 3E, or similar). Strong understanding of e-billing platforms and client billing requirements. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Preferred Skills: Experience with LEDES billing formats and UTBMS codes. Knowledge of legal terminology and law firm operations. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
