Bargaining Unit: UUP Job Summary: The Department of Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant Professor (HS) / Electrophysiology Cardiologist. The successful candidate will: Perform electrophysiology procedures, ablations, cardioversions. Assist with Pacemaker follow-up service. Provide patient care on the Cardiology/EP Service, admission and care of patients admitted to the Cardiology/EP Service. Provide medical care, including cardiac treatment, to patients. Provide medical care, including clinical cardiac consultation. Cover calls on nights, weekends and holidays. Participate in a medical resident and cardiology fellowship education. Required Qualifications: Medical Doctor Degree. New York State Medical Licensure. Board-certified or eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. Proficiency in bedside cardiac procedures. Certification in BLS, ACLS.
