Emergency Room (ER) Float Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Float Nurse to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across multiple facilities within the designated zone.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced emergency room environment.
• Float between various locations within a 60-mile radius as needed.
• Perform triage and assess patient conditions effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
• Participate in the orientation program to familiarize with protocols and systems.

Qualifications

• Current and valid nursing license in the applicable state.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS.
• Strong assessment and clinical skills in managing a variety of emergency cases.
• Ability to float within the designated region and adapt to different work environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts as necessary.
• Commitment to maintaining a positive and professional work culture.

Work Environment

The emergency room is equipped to handle a range of cases including trauma, abdominal pain, diabetes management, and stroke care. The average daily patient volume varies by location.

Additional Information

Clinicians must be present for orientation, regardless of any remote modules completed. All travelers are expected to float to various locations within the designated zone and are responsible for obtaining housing that makes this feasible. Shifts are scheduled as per the facility needs, and travelers must adhere to attendance requirements throughout their contract.
