Payroll Clerk

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Timekeeping Specialist to support payroll operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll/timekeeping systems, Excel, and payroll reconciliation, with union payroll experience strongly preferred. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, resolving discrepancies, and partnering with HR and operations to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. Key Responsibilities Managed daily payroll operations within ADP eTime, including inputting, reviewing, and clearing timecard exceptions Collaborated with supervisors and operators to verify employee hours, production data, and incentive pay for payroll accuracy Reconciled daily payroll and production summaries, ensuring alignment between timekeeping and manufacturing systems Entered and maintained production data in the time and attendance and manufacturing systems Prepared shift summaries and maintained detailed spreadsheets to support operational planning Tracked, documented, and processed payroll adjustments using supervisor-approved documentation Resolved payroll discrepancies and responded to employee inquiries regarding timecards, pay, and adjustments Partnered with HR to ensure payroll processing adhered to union contracts and benefits practices Maintained accurate tracking and reconciliation of union dues payments Conducted payroll audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and process integrity Supported process improvement initiatives between operations and payroll to enhance efficiency and accuracy Trained and supported team members on payroll processes and system usage Generated and distributed payroll and operational reports as needed Documented internal payroll processes and maintained organized records Performed additional administrative tasks such as label printing, static record reviews, and other assigned duties Assisted with basic accounting-related tasks as needed Skills & Experience 1+ years of experience with ADP eTime or similar payroll/timekeeping systems 1+ years of experience working in a union environment Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data tracking, reconciliation, and reporting) Strong attention to detail with experience in spreadsheet-based data management and reconciliation Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills with employees, supervisors, and cross-functional teams Experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to SAP (preferred) Education High School Diploma or equivalent required Some college coursework in accounting, business, or a related field preferred Ambassador Personnel, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
