ReceptionistSalary: $16.19 - $17.24Position Overview: The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and community members at The Arc Ontario's main facility, creating a welcoming and professional environment while ensuring efficient front-desk and switchboard operations. This role is responsible for greeting guests, managing incoming calls and messages, maintaining visitor records, and providing clerical support across departments. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and proficient in office technology, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. All Visitors must sign in on the visitors in and out log.Answers and screens telephone calls, connects calls to appropriate staff extensions, records telephone messages as necessary, acts as the primary switchboard operator. Also responsible for reviewing the messages in the company voice mailbox, especially each morning, and forwards them on to appropriate staff.Maintains the visitor in and out log sheets at the front desk.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred and over three (3) years experience in general office practice.Excellent typing skills, computer background (especially in Word) and a good public rapport are essential.The Arc Ontario is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace.
