Staff Accountant
Joyce Meyer Ministries
Job Title
This role supports the mission to Share Christ – Love People by ensuring timely completion of bank reconciliations and journal entries for month-end and year-end reporting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal entries in Salesforce with appropriate detail backup
- Perform bank reconciliations for Joyce Meyer Ministries and Hope Mountain Ranch accounts
- Prepare allocations for journal entry use and reconcile petty cash
- Produce and analyze required reports timely: may include Trial Balance, Financial Statements, Flux Analysis, various reports and other ad-hoc reporting requirements
- Assist with creation, maintenance, and analysis of JMM budgets
- Assist management: preparation for mileage booklets, annual audit, writing procedures, and complete special projects
- Assist with fixed assets: additions, disposals, depreciation, year-end reports & yearly inventory tracking
- Communicate relevant updates to Controller
- Assist the Finance Department with general ledger account coding, estate planning recordkeeping, and Salesforce functions
- Maintain personal knowledge base of current United States accounting standards
Qualifications
- 2-3 years relevant experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office operating environment: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Knowledge of Salesforce or Accounting Seed accounting system software or similar programs preferred
- Ability to work within all levels of the organization
- Ability to work quickly under pressure
- Precise attention to detail
- Handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Problem-solving skills
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
