Staff Assistant Ii (R0011031) Tampa Position Details The College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa has a position available for a Staff Assistant II to provide primary clerical support in a fast-paced environment in the Nursing Department. This position reports to the College Dean and the Director/Chair of Nursing. Responsibilities High School diploma or equivalent required. Assist with day-to-day administrative operations supporting faculty and staff in the Nursing Department. Data input, maintenance, and update of Nursing department database. Prepare check/purchase requisitions. Maintain and reconciliation of department budgets. Maintain student files in the department's databases. Record Nursing department meeting minutes. Maintain office inventory and supplies. Assist the Director of Nursing and faculty in the preparation of various reports and surveys. Assist in the preparation of Nursing events and meetings. Assist with processing of standardized testing protocol. Conduct tours of the nursing department and nursing skills & simulation lab Assist with room, media, and catering requests. Assist with nursing pinning & hooding ceremonies each semester Coordinate student and faculty orientations and materials. Hire and supervise student workers and graduate assistants Assist Director of Nursing with part-time faculty contracts Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds. Background Check Requirements Finalists may be required to submit to a criminal background check. Some positions may also require a motor vehicle report and/or a credit report.
