The position requires supervision of nursing staff, coordination with healthcare teams, and utilizing critical thinking to ensure patient safety and treatment efficacy during evening shifts. Job Details Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Acute care facility experience preferred. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required. Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required. Facility-specific Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. Department-specific certifications include AHA-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and American Red Cross-Advanced Life Support (ARC-ALS); AHA-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and ARC-PALS are also required. Certifications: Valid RN license, CPR/BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. Department Responsibilities: Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients health or situation, analyzes assessment data, develops and implements care plans, evaluates progress, and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective care. Participates in discharge planning and delegates duties appropriately within the healthcare team. Schedule: Evening shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week.
