About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Philanthropy to take on a pivotal role in the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the strategy, relationships, team, and results related to individual giving and engagement. This is a key position that involves transforming a founder-led fundraising and engagement effort into a durable, scalable institution. The role requires the VP to personally manage a portfolio of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth donors, as well as lead a team to grow the individual giving engine. The focus is on inspiring and engaging a large number of leaders, volunteers, and funders, and the VP will be expected to work closely with the CEO and Board to close significant gifts. Applicants for the Vice President of Philanthropy role at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' of experience in nonprofit fundraising, major gifts, or philanthropy, with a strong preference for those with a background in finance, education, leadership development, or mission-driven organizations. The role demands a proven track record in building and managing high-performing teams, as well as a deep understanding of donor cultivation and stewardship. The ideal candidate will be mission-driven, with a passion for the company's vision of transforming the finance industry. They should be adept at setting and executing fundraising strategies, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-empowerment environment. Strong leadership, communication, and management skills are essential, as is the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
