Produce Associate

Position Summary As part of the produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness, and freshness. You will be in the front-lines of customer service – your smile makes a difference and you can help enhance the member’s shopping experience. Come, be a part of a team that offers our members more for less. Responsibilities Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members. Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have. Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area. Receive and stock merchandise in an organized manner. Maintain inventory to avoid out-of-stock and over-stock products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner. Understand processes and specifications related to quality of produce merchandise and prepare products according to established standards. Maintain product safety and follow company sanitation guidelines and applicable laws and regulations related to produce quality. Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind. Drive the performance of the area, utilize digital tools, and use perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products. Ensure quality and date control standards, eliminate waste, guide peers, and provide attention to customer needs. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; use the Open Door Policy and apply these in executing business processes and practices. Complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt to and learn from change, difficulty, and feedback. Qualifications Have a passion for and experience with produce. Keep member satisfaction as a top priority. Comfortable with change and quickly adapt to different work scenarios. Curious and creative thinker, driving change through out‑of‑box thinking. Communicate effectively and positively influence team members. Lead by example. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if hired. Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage range: $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Health benefits: medical, vision, and dental coverage.
