Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in El Segundo, CA.Duties:

• Senior Accountant will analyze, reconcile, and maintain fixed asset and project-related accounts
• Review account activity and supporting documentation to ensure accurate classification and recording of transactions
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
• Partner with operational and business stakeholders to gather information and support account analyses
• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Monitor account balances and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
• As a Senior Accountant, you will assist with audit requests and financial reporting requirements
• Communicate project status, issues, and recommendations to management and stakeholders
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with fixed assets, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
• Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Public accounting experience
• Experience with ERP or large-scale accounting systems
• Audit experience or exposure to internal controls
• Experience with reporting, analytics, or data visualization tools
• Exposure to automation, workflow improvement, or emerging accounting technologies

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
