ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join a premier entertainment-focused organization in Culver City, CA . This 6-month contract role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys owning critical accounting functions from month-end close through reconciliation and financial reporting activities. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records while partnering across teams to support operational excellence.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while managing multiple priorities. Candidates with entertainment industry experience or experience supporting high-growth organizations are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Activities:
• Perform month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of accounting processes.
• Prepare and complete balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Review and prepare journal entries to support monthly financial reporting.
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances and discrepancies.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger.
• Support the preparation and review of financial statements and related schedules.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather information and resolve accounting issues.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.
• Assist with audit requests and support compliance initiatives as needed.
• Manage multiple accounting priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.


Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Demonstrated experience performing month-end close activities.
• Strong experience completing balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Experience preparing and recording journal entries.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound judgment and the ability to navigate changing priorities.


Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA designation or equivalent certification.
• Entertainment industry accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working within a fast-paced, high-growth, or technology-focused organization.
• Aptitude for learning and utilizing accounting and financial systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
