Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of electrical installations, control systems, and instrumentation equipment
- Verify compliance with applicable standards (IEC, NFPA, local electrical codes, etc.)
- Conduct functional testing and calibration of instrumentation systems
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain inspection records and manage documentation
- Communicate findings clearly to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with project teams and other inspectors
- Stay current with evolving standards and regulations
- Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma/GED minimum; technical diploma or associate degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of E&I inspection or related field experience
- Certifications: Valid electrical inspector certification or equivalent (e.g., NFPA, local jurisdiction); instrumentation certification a plus
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, control circuits, and instrumentation principles
- Safety: Demonstrated commitment to safety; OSHA 30 certification or equivalent preferred
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to produce clear technical reports
- Physical Ability: Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varied environmental conditions
