We're a collegial, busy workers' compensation law firm looking for a sharp, unflappable paralegal to join our team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, genuinely enjoy working with people, and can keep 150 moving parts organized without breaking a sweat — we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Manage a caseload of approximately 150 active workers' compensation files from start to finish
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, insurance adjusters, and attorneys on a daily basis
- Handle crisis management as it arises (and in this work, it does arise)
- Keep cases moving with precision, follow-through, and a calm head
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 18 months of Connecticut workers' compensation or personal injury experience — this is a firm requirement
- Client-oriented mindset and genuine comfort with heavy phone and email contact
- Detail orientation that borders on obsessive (in the best way)
- Grace under pressure — someone who doesn't rattle easily
- A sense of humor never hurts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Filevine and/or Case Status is a significant plus
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred
