Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Louisiana Department of Education certification, plus an active certification from your current state of residence.
• Proven experience as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, utilizing technology to provide virtual instruction.
• Strong understanding of adaptive communication strategies (e.g., ASL, spoken English, augmentative devices).
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional standards in a remote setting.
• Outstanding organization, communication, and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction through virtual means, adapting materials and lessons for online accessibility.
• Assess student abilities, monitor growth, and maintain detailed records.
• Partner with general education teachers and special education teams to support IEP implementation.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to discuss student progress and provide resources.
• Attend virtual meetings, training sessions, and participate in professional development activities.
