The ideal candidate will have a strong medical-surgical and telemetry background, excellent clinical judgment, and experience caring for oncology patients.Key Responsibilities\n \n Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and oncology patients.\n Monitor and assess patients throughout the shift, recognizing changes in condition and escalating concerns appropriately.\n Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.\n Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in cardiac rhythm.\n Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and care needs.\n Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary care team.\n Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.\n Follow all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.\n Support patients receiving oncology-related treatments and therapies.\n Required Qualifications\n \n Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.\n BLS certification required.\n ACLS certification required.\n ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certificate required.\n Medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience.\n Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.\n Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend.\n Preferred Qualifications\n \n Previous chemotherapy administration experience highly preferred, but not required.\n Previous oncology nursing experience.\n Travel nursing experience in a medical-surgical/oncology setting.\n Schedule & Assignment Details\n \n 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM\n 36 hours per week\n Every other weekend\n Unit: MT5 Oncology\n Specialty: Med Surg / Oncology / Telemetry\n \n \n
