Interventional Radiology Technologist
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interventional radiology procedures and be committed to providing high-quality patient care.
Position Details
- Unit Type: Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Shift Length: 10 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Call Requirements: On-call approximately 8 shifts including 1 weekend every 6 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all interventional radiology procedures including neuro IR procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists, providing support and assistance during procedures.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment effectively.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in imaging.
Qualifications
- Education: ARRT certification required.
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Cardiac Interventional Radiologic Technologist (CI) preferred; VI or CV certifications are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior experience in interventional radiology; neuro IR experience preferred.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with EPIC EMR & PACS systems is preferable; hands-on experience with Siemens and Phillips equipment is a plus.
Work Environment
This position is within a department that features four state-of-the-art imaging rooms, including dedicated neuro IR facilities. The technologist will work regular day shifts.
Additional Information
- Orientation: One to two shifts or as needed for department-specific training.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs.
- Response Time for Call: 30 minutes.
