Private Equity Associate

Location : New York, NY | Workplace : Onsite | Employment : Full-time Responsibilities Assist with private M&A and growth equity transactions from diligence through signing and closing. Conduct legal due diligence and help identify and address transaction-related issues. Support ancillary transaction work-streams and prepare and review deal documentation. Assist with coordinating signing and closing processes. Work closely with partners, clients, and opposing counsel on sophisticated transactions. Manage multiple deal-related priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and deadlines. Communicate proactively with internal teams, clients, and external counsel. Qualifications 1-3 years of law firm experience with exposure to private M&A, private equity and/or growth equity transactions. Demonstrated interest in private equity and transactional matters. Basic understanding of legal due diligence, ancillary work-streams, and signing/closing processes. Strong academic credentials and comparable law firm experience. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative deal environment. New York Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly. Compensation $225,000-$260,000 annually, depending on experience and class year, plus applicable bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits.
