Maintenance Repairman 2Step into a hands-on role as a Maintenance Repairman 2 with the Department of Human Services (DHS) at the North Central Secure Treatment Unit. This position allows you to apply your trade skills to support the upkeep and operation of buildings, grounds, and equipment. You strengthen daily operations by completing a wide range of repair and maintenance projects that keep the facility running smoothly. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:General Maintenance: Perform carpentry, plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, masonry, and painting tasks as assignedEquipment Repair: Install and repair fixtures, appliances, tools, and equipment used throughout the facilityStructural Work: Repair doors, windows, roofs, partitions, and other building componentsGrounds Care: Complete lawn care, snow removal, and upkeep of outdoor areas and fencingSafety Compliance: Maintain accountability of tools and materials and report missing items immediatelyStaff Leadership: Guide semi-skilled workers by assisting with assignments and demonstrating proper work methodsInterested in learning more? Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); orFour years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; orAny equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.Special Requirement:You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.Other Requirements:You must meet the PA residency requirement.
