RN - Surgical Specialties

Role Overview: This position involves independently planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating care for Ambulatory Specialty Practice patients across all age groups, ensuring adherence to hospital policies. Key Responsibilities: Perform RN nursing duties, assist in specialty clinics, triage walk-in patients, and coordinate patient care activities. Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team; provide counseling and education on medical conditions and procedures. Facilitate delivery of services, collaborate on patient candidacy, and participate in specialty programs, committees, and educational activities. Conduct professional and public speaking engagements, prepare reports, and participate in training and research support. Manage patient schedules, review diagnostic work, coordinate post-operative care, and ensure patient safety by following policies, reporting concerns, and encouraging patient participation. Maintain departmental policies and contribute to quality assurance and safety initiatives. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of a nursing program with a bachelor's degree preferred, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Current RN licensure in NM or reciprocal agreement, CPR/BLS certification. Physical ability for medium work and capacity to work rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends.
