We’re looking for someone who is passionate about social media, comfortable behind the camera, and has a strong eye for visual storytelling. They should be eager to learn, take initiative, explore new ideas, and bring a fresh perspective to every project.

A TikTok-first mindset is a major plus! The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of social media trends, an eye for what makes content engaging, and the ability to translate creative ideas into compelling short-form videos. Experience with filming, editing applications, and analyzing content trends is highly valued.

This position works directly with the Social Media Managers/Directors at Outsmart Labs to plan and execute social media marketing campaigns, create engaging content, and grow online communities. Our clients range from high-end hospitality brands to large international e-commerce companies, offering exposure to a diverse range of industries and creative opportunities.

This is a full-time, paid, six-month internship.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, high-quality social media content, including Instagram Reels, TikToks, Stories, and static posts.
• Assist in filming, capturing, and editing photo and video content for various social media platforms.
• Develop creative, trend-driven content ideas that align with each client’s brand identity and objectives.
• Actively research and analyze emerging social media trends, trending audio, content formats, and platform updates to identify relevant opportunities for clients.
• Assist in conceptualizing and producing short-form video content, with a strong emphasis on TikTok and Instagram Reels.
• Write engaging captions that effectively translate each client’s brand voice and messaging.
• Schedule and publish content across social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and others.
• Assist in creating and implementing monthly social media content calendars.
• Actively discover and curate engaging online content to share with our communities.
• Strengthen and grow online communities by actively engaging with target audiences.
• Ensure posting consistency through social media scheduling tools.
• Support client account management under the supervision of a Social Media Manager.
• Assist in creating monthly analytics reports to track social media performance, identify trends, and evaluate results.
• Participate in content shoots, brainstorming sessions, and creative strategy discussions.
• Regularly research the latest marketing trends and explore innovative ways to promote brands.
• Contribute fresh, original ideas for campaigns, content series, and new projects.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve content quality, engagement, and overall social media performance.

This is a hands-on, proactive position where the right candidate will be given meaningful responsibilities and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram, including current trends, content formats, and best practices.
• Comfortable behind the camera, with a good eye for framing, composition, lighting, and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency with mobile video editing applications such as CapCut, InShot, Canva, or similar tools.
• Ability to film and edit engaging short-form video content.
• Strong creative instincts and the ability to identify and adapt emerging social media trends to different brands.
• Ability to analyze social media trends, audience behavior, and content performance to inform creative decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to learn quickly, demonstrate initiative, and adapt to shifting priorities.
• A curious, motivated mindset with a willingness to experiment, ask questions, and continuously improve.
• Ability to collaborate successfully in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
• Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools is a plus.
• Genuine enthusiasm for social media, digital marketing, content creation, and creative storytelling.
• Ability to bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a proactive approach to projects.

• Experience creating TikTok or Instagram content for personal, creator, or brand accounts.
• Experience with photography, videography, or content production.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or other professional editing software.
• A portfolio or examples of previously created social media content.

Internship Details

This six-month internship begins immediately.

Compensation: $2,150/month

Duration: Six months, full-time, paid internship

Location: Downtown Miami, Florida

Work Arrangement: In-office requirements a minimum of 4 days per week. Local candidates only. No remote work. This is not a summer internship.
