Structural Engineer

Position Summary: This position will perform structural design, analysis, and detailing for various industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings and other structures as assigned.Please read the following job description thoroughly to ensure you are the right fit for this role before applying.Basic Duties:Structural design, analysis, calculations, 3D modeling, and drafting for various industrial, institutional buildings, and other structures as assigned.Assistance in design, field investigations, field engineering, material take-offs, surveys, and studies to complete project goals.Assisting in the preparation of project reports and construction documents and reviewing documents prepared by others.Overseeing and providing direction on the design and development of structural models and structural drawings and specifications.Working alone and as part of a team completing assigned tasks.The position will also interact directly with structural steel detailers through the development of the detailed model and drawings.Basic Qualifications:2 years of related engineering experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply as well.Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering, with an emphasis in structures.Ability to obtain EIT within 6 months.Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, RISA-3D, and MS Office.Proficient written and verbal communication skills.Candidate must be able to travel domestically & internationally to other M3 offices and project sites to provide field support for new and ongoing projects.Must be able to work in a project team and maintain a project schedule, be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have exceptional organizational skills.Must be able to interact with clients and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner and work in a team environment sharing roles and responsibilities, with limited supervision. xhyhwjd A valid passport or the ability to obtain one is required.Desired Qualifications:Bilingual English / Spanish abilitiesExperience preparing and editing construction documentsEIT
