As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor alarms, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. Pay Rate: $23.05 / Hour

DayTime Thur 12:30 AM - 08:30 AM

Sat 12:30 PM - 12:30 AM

Sun 12:30 PM - 12:30 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Verify credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation before permitting access to restricted areas; maintain accurate access-related records and logs.
• Monitor entry and exit points, visitor activity, and access control systems; report unusual activity, access discrepancies, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
