Position: Eye Recovery Technician – Per Diem Location: San Antonio, TX Job Id: 165 # of Openings: 1 Position Overview Eye Recovery Technician – Willing to Train CorneaGen is a mission‑driven company focused on providing high quality donor tissue and improving vision care. Role Responsibilities The Eye Recovery Technician plays a vital role in ensuring that the gift of donation is honored through the timely and thoughtful procurement of ocular tissues for corneal transplant. Tissue Recovery Surgically procure donated human ocular tissue from all sources following Standard Operating Procedures. Draw blood from donors and recover medical records from hospitals. Accept on‑call responsibilities for ocular tissue recovery as scheduled. Laboratory Support and Maintenance Perform other duties as needed or assigned in lab maintenance, quality control, training, and research. Document and keep records: Maintain documentation of in‑process tissue as required, and update records at each step timely. Maintain confidentiality of donor‑related information. Work Schedule This is an hourly, per‑demand position, scheduled for a minimum of 1–2 shifts per week; the weekly schedule will likely include weekends. The position is 100% in‑person – remote work is not available. Training and Qualifications Not a problem! We will provide on‑the‑job training to give you the skills and knowledge needed to become an Eye Recovery Technician. All we ask of you is that: Associate degree or equivalent education and highly relevant experience. Experience demonstrating collaboration, attention to detail, and effective communication. Maintain a professional demeanor and confidentiality. Solve practical problems and handle variability in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. Compensation and Benefits The minimum wage for this position is $18.00 hourly and the maximum wage is $20.00 hourly. Individual compensation varies within this range based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
