About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to provide executive leadership for nursing and clinical support services within a complex, 24/7 correctional healthcare system. The CNO will be responsible for the strategic, clinical, operational, workforce, and fiscal leadership of nursing services across all facilities, ensuring that operations support evidence-based, integrated healthcare for patients. This role demands a highly accountable individual who can lead through a team of nursing leaders, develop strong, effective leaders, and maintain high standards of patient care. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader of leaders, comfortable with change management, and adept at balancing clinical excellence with operational, workforce, fiscal, regulatory, and governmental responsibilities. Applicants for the CNO position at the company must have a minimum of 7 years' nursing experience in a relevant healthcare environment, with at least 2 years in a nursing leadership role. A valid, unrestricted RN license and a BSN are required, with a Master's degree in a related field being a plus. The ideal candidate will have senior nursing leadership experience in a large, complex, multi-site, 24/7 healthcare organization, and experience in correctional healthcare is highly valued. The CNO will be expected to maintain productive partnerships with various stakeholders while upholding professional nursing standards. Responsibilities also include executive oversight of nursing programs, policies, and staff, as well as participation in performance improvement activities and ensuring continuous readiness for accreditation and regulatory reviews.
