Scope spans the entire stack including firmware, drivers, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, and/or applications. Interacts with technologists across Intel and within the industry to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. This role will interface regularly with architects of relevant components, engineers, management as well as be available to cross functional partners like product management, Systems, and SoC. Responsible for ensuring that the software stack is built to meet the requirements outlined for the product in terms of supported workloads, capabilities needed, performance, stability, and ease of use. Responsible for key technical design decisions, and will ensure that they are well thought out, documented, and communicated across teams. As a principal engineer, recognized as a domain expert who influences and drives technical direction across Intel and industry. Develops and mentors other technical leaders, grows the community, acts as a change agent, and role models Intel values. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments.
